Aaron James Ramsey was born on December 26th, 1990. This Welsh footballer for EURO 2016 to plays as a midfielder for Arsenal as well as Wales national football team. Even though he plays as midfielder, he can play either as left winger or right winger. When he was in Cardiff City, he was the youngest player that successfully made his twenty two appearances for Cardiff City senior team that also include the final of 2008 FA cup.

In 2008, he signed a contract with Arsenal for about £5 million. Unfortunately, in February 2010 his career stalled considerably after suffering from broken leg in a match against Stoke City. After being loan for two times, he became a regular starter during 2011-2012 season. He was the key player for Arsenal during the season campaign of 2013-2014, as he successfully scored sixteen goals, including the winner goal in the final of 2014 FA Cup against Hull City.

He made his international debut with Wales right in 2008. His debut was one of the most successful campaigns for UEFA EURO 2016. For your information, he became the team squad member of Great Britain in 2012 Olympics.

Career on club

  • Cardiff City

After having a great performance in Urdd football tournament, he signed a contract with Cardiff City. He was joining the team when he was eight years old. After few years, he made his first debut in a home game that was taken place in the 2006-2007 season as he replaced Paul Parry right in the last minute. The match ended up with 1-0 victory over Hull City on April 28th, 2007.  He became the youngest player who ever played for Cardiff City when he was just sixteen years of age.

  • ArsenalRamsey decided to join Arsenal after having met with some officials from Arsenal, Everton and Manchester United. His transfer deal was about £4.8 million. His move was totally completed on June 13th, 2008 and considered as long-term contract. The main reason why he chose for Arsenal was because the approach that was done by Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger who had him along with his family flew away to Switzerland to talk about his potential future career with Arsenal. Wenger said Ramsey as a football player with good build, fantastic engine, good vision and also good technique.He made his first debut with Arsenal on August 13th, 2008 in a Champions League match against FC Twente.
    • Nottingham Forest

    Ramsey was actually loaned out to Nottingham Forest on November 25th, 2010. His loan ended on January 3rd, 2011. He made his first debut with Nottingham Forest on November 29th, 2010 became a substitute in a match against Leicester City.

    • Cardiff

    He went back to Cardiff on loan to gain his match fitness. Cardiff asked for an extension loan with twenty four hours back option on February 25th. Nevertheless, Arsenal refused the offer and had this Welsh footballer for EURO 2016 to return to Arsenal.
